AN improved level of trade in the yearling section of the auction, which was headed by a €75,000 top lot, meant that the Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale began its six-day run with a positive set of results earlier this evening.

The first session of the all encompassing sale was largely given over to yearlings and trade appeared to step forward in this sector as evidenced by growth in several key areas. In addition, the top price improved to €75,000 from €54,000 and the number of lots to make at least €20,000 progressed to 27 from 19 last year.
