IN January, I will begin a new phase of my career, when I move to Britain and take up a role as an apprentice jockey with the Richard Hannon stables. It is an exciting opportunity for a young rider such as myself and one that I am really looking forward to.
My father David is a trainer and I grew up around horses and racing. I was just six years old when my father had his biggest success on One Four Shannon in the 1997 Pat Taaffe Handicap Chase, a listed race, at the 2006 Punchestown festival.
