SINCE devoting my full attention to our family’s long running breeding/ownership operation in March of this year, I have enjoyed an incredible run of success, with six wins (from five individual horses) and three places from just 11 runners. While I am under no illusions that this strike rate is set to continue, it has given me great confidence as I bid to increase stock numbers over the coming year.
My parents always had horses at home and some of my earliest memories are of going point-to-pointing with the two of them. My cousin, John Reid, was a very successful jockey in his time and I recall watching his exploits on TV when I was in school.
