I ACHIEVED a long held ambition at Down Royal in August when riding my first winner under rules. The win aboard Snegurochka for Monica Dowdall Blake was particularly satisfying, as I honestly felt I had missed my chance.
Despite having ridden the filly on her debut earlier in the year, injury prevented me taking the ride when she won on her next start. I am therefore very thankful to Monica for showing such loyalty to me on my return to the saddle.
