Free help for frontline workers

CONNECT a Coach was founded by Ailbhe Harrington, a master certified coach and coach trainer, and Karen Hayes, an associate certified coach and facilitator. Their vision was to make it easy for frontline staff to connect directly and easily at a time that suited them, with professional coaches who wanted to help.

Connect A Coach is a group of professional coaches who are volunteering to do what they can for Ireland’s frontline staff during the Covid-19 crisis by offering a free coaching service. Their aim is to offer frontline staff the opportunity to renew, refresh and resource themselves during what is, and will be, a very challenging time.

Connect A Coach is a free service for nurses, doctors, first responders, health care assistants, pharmacists and emergency services; essentially anyone on the frontline dealing with the impact of coronavirus. Members can book free coaching sessions by visiting www.connectacoach.org and pick a coach to book a session. There are available sessions from 7am to 9pm, seven days a week.

Each session is 45 minutes long and Connect A Coach offers four sessions to an individual. There are no registration requirements, other than being a frontline worker. The group wants to make sure that news of this free service reaches those who need it most, so if you are a frontline worker, or know one, please use or pass on the information.

A conversation with a professional coach can help to focus on what’s important, gain clarity and find a way forward that works. The coaches have signed a confidentiality agreement, are fully insured, operate under professional ethics and are supported with professional supervision.
