THIS time of the year can present many with difficulties. Going to and coming home from work in the dark, temperatures dropping, and the prospect of a few months of the same can be troublesome. While we have the joy of Christmas to look forward to, it is also a time of great stress for many.

Combined with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), these can lead to a significant dip in mood. Often, at this time of year, people may feel increased feelings of depression, lethargy and irritability. These feelings may worsen as we leave our warm homes to commute to the office, in the dark, on a cramped train or bus.
