THE Caulfield Guineas is a week away and the picture cleared somewhat in Melbourne when the Ken Keys-trained Written Tycoon colt Rich Enuff put in a scintillating acceleration to win the Group 3 Caulfield Guineas Prelude over 1,400 metres. Home by two and a half lengths the win propelled Rich Enuff to the top of the betting at $2.90 following his two emphatic wins this preparation.

In Sydney a day earlier the Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Shooting To Win posted a three-length win in the Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes over 1,500 metres to confirm his Guineas intentions as markets tumbled his price from $26 into $9 as a result.
