LAST Wednesday week Horse Racing Ireland hosted a racecourse seminar, the 10th such event open to all Irish tracks. The theme was ‘growing Irish racing together’ and focused on delivering relevant, practical information and best practice across a range of topics.

This week I caught up with Paul Dermody, commercial and marketing director at HRI, to find out more. He told me: “Racing is operating in a very competitive sports and entertainment landscape and my colleagues and I are focussed on working with the racecourses to help achieve our ambitious objectives to grow engagement and increase interest levels in racing.
