A MOMENTOUS season for Jessica Harrington gets better with each day that passes and the trainer picked up yet another pattern race success as Astadash turned up in the form of her life in the Group 3 Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes.

Owned by Liz Barry and out of her farm’s remarkable mare Starfish, who has bred nine winners from as many runners including five individual stakes scorers, Astadash lined up off a second in the Hurry Harriet Stakes over this course and distance last month. Even still she had to find a bit more as she stepped up to this Group 3 level, but a stall-one draw and front-running tactics meant that she was a formidable foe for any of these contestants.
