MUCH has changed in the past 12 months, and in the sport horse sector the most notable impact has been the popularity of online trading. This has transformed the industry, and for the first time in recent years, the sale’s entries are on the rise.

This is clearly illustrated at Goresbridge next week, where the vastly increased catalogue of 560 lots (220 in 2020) will run over three full days rather last two short ones last year. The trade then was excellent, and what bearing this massive increase in number will have on demand remains to be seen. On paper however, the catalogue looks strong as does the lists of covering sires that accompanies it.
