TRAINER Clive Cox and jockey Adam Kirby landed the Group 2 Qatar Richmond Stakes with the subsequent Commonwealth Cup winner Golden Horde 12 months ago. They repeated that feat as 11/2 chance Supremacy made all the running to slam favourite Yazaman (William Haggas/Tom Marquand) by four lengths. Lauded (Tom Dascombe/Richard Kingscote) was third, a neck behind the runner-up.

Both trainer and jockey – who teamed up to land a 150/1 shock at Royal Ascot with Coventry winner Nando Parrado – were fulsome in their praise of the son of Mehmas, himself a previous winner of this contest.
