THERE were noticeably few Irish international riders in the function room of the Amber Springs Hotel on Tuesday night for this year’s renewal of the Goresbridge Go For Gold
Sale but, despite her absence, Co Meath’s Elizabeth Power made her presence felt as breeder of the top-priced lot, MBF Ramiro.

Lot 41 was knocked down for €41,000 to Britain’s Oliver Townend who has had such great success with produce by the three-year-old’s sire, the popular, but sadly deceased, Belgian Warmblood stallion Ramiro B. The Irish Sport Horse gelding was consigned by Meabh Bolger and Jason Higgins to whom Power sold the grey in March.
