GLENEAGLES will stand his first season at Coolmore Stud at a fee of €60,000.

The dual 2000 Guineas winner won at Group 1 level as a juvenile and also won the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot this year.

From the family of Giant’s Causeway, Gleneagles is a son of Galileo and he is a brother to both last year’s classic winner Marvellous and this year’s Group 3 winner Coolmore.

Also new to Coolmore for 2016 are top-class two-year-old from last year Ivawood (€9,000 fee) and the dual Group 1 winner Kingston Hill (€6,000).

Both Canford Cliffs and Zoffany see their fees increase next season. Zoffany, sire of three Royal Ascot winners in his first crop, goes from €12,500 to €45,000.

Canford Cliffs, who has had 30 winners from his first crop so far this year, goes from €12,500 to €17,500. Requinto has also had a slight fee increase to €5,000.

Among those on the Coolmore roster whose fees are coming down next season are Mastercraftsman (down €5,000 to €35,000), Rip Van Winkle (down €12,500 to €12,500) and Henrythenavigator (down €7,500 to €7,500). There are also reductions in the fees for Excelebration, Holy Roman Emperor, Most Improved, No Nay Never, Pour Moi and Rock Of Gibraltar.

Returning to Coolmore after a stint in Australia is Starspangledbanner and his fee has been set at €15,000.

Galileo and Fastnet Rock remain ‘private’ while there is no change in the fees for Australia and Camelot.
