Lilbourne Lad: Rathbarry Stud's Group 2-winning son of Acclamation (by Royal Applause) was the first Irish freshman sire of 2015 to get off the mark. Milanais (by Dyhim Diamond) achieved that feat in France last month.

Lilbourne Lad's son Handytalk scored a short-head success in the five furlong maiden at Windsor on Monday. The Rod Millman-trained juvenile was bred by the partnership of Edmond Kinane and Donal Sweeney. He cost €16,500 in Goffs as a foal, £32,000 in Doncaster as a yearling, and he is the first winner for his unraced dam Dancing With Stars (by Where Or When).

His dam is a half-sister to the Spanish blacktype scorer Cielo Canarias (by Exceed And Excel), and he comes from a branch of the famous Reprocolor (by Jimmy Reppin) family of Group 1 stars Kayf Tara (by Sadler's Wells), Opera House (by Sadler's Wells), Zee Zee Top (by Zafonic), Izzi Top (by Pivotal), Cezanne (by Ajdal), and others.
