FRESHMAN SIRES: First winner for Anjaal
on 04 April 2019
The Rathasker Stud stallion sired his first winner in France on Thursday

RATHASKER Stud stallion Anjaal (by Bahamian Bounty) became the latest freshman sire to get off the mark when Ask Me Not made a winning debut over four and a half furlongs at Lyon Parilly in France on Thursday.

Theresa Marnane's colt is the first foal out of the unraced Dangerous Duo (by Intikhab) and he cost just €2,000 at the Goffs Open Yearling Sale in November.

His grandam, Serene Dream (by Oasis Dream), is an unraced half-sister to Group 3 Winter Derby scorer Tranquil Tiger (by Selkirk).

Galiway (by Galileo), Brazen Beau (by I Am Invincible), and Cable Bay (by Invincible Spirit) are the other freshman sires who have already had their first winner in Europe this year.
