I’LL Have Another won her second race in three starts at the weekend in the colours of Paul and Clare Rooney, trained by Mark Johnston. The two-year-old daughter of Dragon Pulse (Kyllachy) may not be a world beater, but she is a filly who could well earn blacktype, and she is from a very successful female line. In a weekend of top class racing, why would I pick her out for mention?

Well, I’ll Have Another was bred at Manister House Stud, home until recently of Frank, Liz and Luke Barry. Sadly, the first named died a few weeks ago and he left a legacy of good winners bred, bought and sold, and here is another example of the sound racehorses he was good at producing. She was sold as a yearling at Goffs UK last August to Kevin Ross Bloodstock for £32,000.
