IT was great to see the Aga Khan’s Vazirabad back to his best after a break of three and a half months. The five-year-old gelding was not fully extended to win the Group 3 Qatar Prix Gladiateur by a cheeky three-quarters of a length from Holdthasigreen, with Trip To Rhodes third. Next came the best of the English challengers Flymetothestars. Vazirabad was landing his tenth group race and Alain de Royer-Dupre will now try and win the Prix du Cadran and another Prix Royal-Oak with him.
