KARL Burke has always enjoyed campaigning in France where he has picked up a couple of Group 1 contests and Chantilly has been a lucky track. He greeted Lord Shanakill in the winner’s circle after the 2009 Prix Jean Prat. Although it was only a Group 3 race, Quiet Reflection gave him another victory at the stunning French headquarters when she hung on gamely in the hands of ex jump jockey Dougie Costello to win the six furlong Prix Sigy.

The daughter of Showcasing was landing a hat trick after fending off the late challenge of Jimmy Two Times by a head. Burke has ambitious plans for Quiet Reflection, who ended her juvenile career by taking the Dubai Cornwallis at Newmarket.
