GHAIYYATH, one of the last horses bred by the late Mrs Gita Weld, is back on the Group 1 trail following an impressive belated seasonal debut in the Prix du Prince d’Orange at ParisLongchamp last weekend.

By Dubawi out of Irish 1000 Guineas winner Nightime, Ghaiyyath was born exactly a year after Mrs Weld passed away. The foal was sold to Godolphin at Goffs for €1.1 million and won two races, including a Group 3 contest, for trainer Charlie Appleby last autumn.
