THE spotlight changed to flat racing on Monday as David Menuisier, a rare example of a French national who has gone elsewhere in Europe to forge his career as a trainer rather than the other way round, ventured over the Channel from West Sussex to ParisLonchamp to land a competitive renewal of the mile and a quarter Group 3 La Coupe with Danceteria.

Danceteria, a gelded son of Redoute’s Choice, is part-owned by Australian Bloodstock, so he will finish the year down under.
