ROYAL Ascot is one of the leading meetings of the flat season in the UK and Ireland, and this year there are some fantastic renewals of the leading races across the five days. Here is a look at the four best tips for the meeting next month.

Lady Aurelia To Win King’s Stand Stakes – 7/2

American sprinter Lady Aurelia reminded us all how good she was when she claimed the King’s Stand Stakes last year, 12 months after her success in the Queen Mary Stakes on her debut in the UK. The four-year-old beat a high-quality field in 2017 and if she produces the same run again from the front, it is difficult seeing anyone in the five furlongs contest stopping the superstar. Battaash had an excellent season last year and will be the obvious danger, however, Ward’s runner has proven herself at this level and in this race, so has to get the preference.

Le Brivido to win Queen Anne Stakes – 7/1

French trainer Andre Fabre last won the Queen Anne Stakes in 2005 and he looks to have a great chance of scoring in the opening race of Royal Ascot this year with Le Brivido. The French colt was very well backed to land the Group Three Jersey Stakes at the meeting in 2017 and he can return for more glory in this 1m contest. The lightly raced four-year-old has already had a seasonal reappearance as he featured at Newmarket last month where he was below his best. With that run under his belt, he should be sharp for his return to the Royal meeting and is the nap selection in the 2018 Ascot tips.

Order Of St George ridden by Ryan Moore winning the Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan

Order of St George to win Ascot Gold Cup – 3/1

Order of St George has dominated the two-mile plus division over the last couple of years, however, he was denied victory in this race in 2017 by Big Orange, who finished a short-head behind the winner when crossing the line. Aidan O’Brien’s runner went on to prevail in the British Champions Day Long Distance Cup and Irish St Leger later in the year. The six-year-old has already appeared in 2018 as he opened up with a win at the Curragh. Despite his age, he is still the horse to beat over this trip in what could be his final appearance at Royal Ascot.

US Navy Flag to win Commonwealth Cup – 7/1

US Navy Flag had a busy year on the track as a two-year-old as he appeared on 10 occasions around the globe in three different countries in international racing. The highlights of his debut campaign were his wins in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes and Dewhurst Stakes, both of which were at Newmarket. O’Brien’s sprinter clearly has a big future and it could be another big year for the versatile colt. He is slightly overpriced in the betting for this three-year-old race, as most of his form has been over a longer trip, however, there is no doubting his raw speed so he should be given the nod.

Royal Ascot begins on June 19th this year and there will be five of the best days of horse racing that you will see all year in the sport.
