THERE are not enough hours in the day, not enough days in the week and certainly not enough weeks in a month. This is the current mentality of 2014-2016 Darley Flying Start trainees as we finished the first quarter of the course and the Irish and English phases.

The past month was busy. We’ve played roles as exercise riders, stable staff, assistant trainers, bloodstock agents, marketing executives, pedigree researchers and some have even taken to the rostrum at Tattersalls (albeit if it was just us there). To think that we’ve fit all this into three short weeks certainly makes a case for needing more days in the week.
