Quite a few of his sons were not achieving the level of success hoped for and before Montjeu and Galileo had their first runners it seemed possible that his male line might even fade away in Europe.

All of that changed when the early crops by those two brilliant sons emerged on the track and their success as the sires of Group 1 stars raised the hope that one or even both these horses would go on to get important stallion sons who would, in turn, produce the next generations of influential sires.
