LIKE many others in their situation the Kennedy brothers from Dingle – trainer Michael and jockeys Paddy and Jack – have welcomed the news that racing is set to resume behind closed doors from June 8th onwards.

The announcement has given them some form of structure and horses and humans alike all thrive on and respond best to a regular daily routine of feed, exercise and rest. Michael or Mikey as he is known as, is the eldest of the four – the other D.J. works in America and has no involvement in horses. Mikey is in his fourth year with a trainer’s licence, based in Innishannon in Co. Cork.
