THE two-tier market that exists within event horse breeding is evident in British Eventing (BE) 2017 sire rankings in which Irish-based stallions have a strong presence.

This form is most apparent in the list for sires of BE-registered horses, competing from novice to international four-star, as no less than six of these top-10 sires stood or are standing in Ireland.
