WHEN the Freyne family history comes to be written, the 2015/16 season will certainly stand out to be marked down in red letters. For it was then that Tom Freyne passed two remarkable milestones, any one of which might be looked on as an outstanding lifetime achievement.
He was appointed commanding officer of the Irish Army Equitation School and raised to the rank of Lt Colonel. As if that was not enough, he became joint-master of the famed Co Tipperary Foxhounds, who are based in his home town of Fethard.
