FRESH from his Pretty Polly Stakes triumph on Sunday, Roger Varian made another successful raid to these shores with Realtra in the Group 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Brownstown Stakes in the colours of Yasushi Kubota.

The defection of Rehana looked to give the two English-trained fillies a strong hand in this seven-furlong race and Realtra fully justified her position as the only previous Group 3 winner in the line up. A steady early pace meant that several members of the seven-runner field needed some room in the straight and one of those was the smooth travelling Realtra.
