AS reappearances go, the one made by Honeysuckle in the two-and-a-half-mile conditions hurdle was both stylish and heartening as Henry de Bromhead’s star mare dished out a comprehensive beating to a couple of capable rivals.

On her first start since winning a Grade 1 at this track last Easter, the Kenny Alexander-owned daughter of Sulamani was sent off the 30/100 favourite to make it five wins from as many starts on the track. The five-year-old was well suited by the race conditions and had plenty to spare on official ratings.
