1.55 Mongey Communications Maiden Hurdle 2m 4f

A chance is taken on Ballybough Native. He lacks jumping experience but appeals as a horse of some potential having run out an impressive winner of a 2m 4f point-to-point bumper at Tipperary just over a year ago.

There is every chance that he will make up into a very nice jumper and his near 13-month absence from the track isn’t a major concern.

Harald Hardrad was a somewhat disappointing favourite at Leopardstown last month when third to Ballykeel and that run leaves him with something to find against Chiricahua. However, he is capable of better and his second to Whatdaewant at Navan in December is a very strong piece of form in the context of this race.

Level Neverending did not jump well when beaten at odds-on here a fortnight ago and this is a stronger race. He will have to do better.

SELECTION: BALLYBOUGH NATIVE

Next Best: Harald Hardrad

2.30 Frank & Teresa O’Reilly Memorial Hunters Chase 3m 1f 88yds

Aloneamongmillions gets the vote. He returned from almost a year off to win a point in January and followed that by winning a second Tetratema Cup at Gowran last month.

At his best he is a high-class performer in this sphere and form such as his third to Billaway and Winged Leader in a Down Royal hunters’ chase last season is testament to his prowess as a hunter chaser.

He has most to fear from Vaucelet who won a hunters’ chase here in November and warmed up for this with a victory at Portrush last month. Vaucelet was beaten into third by Dorking Cock in a hunter’s chase at Down Royal in December and he will need to better that form here.

SELECTION: ALONEAMONGMILLIONS

Next Best: Vaucelet

3.05 BoyleSports Mares Handicap Chase 2m 5f 88yds

After shaping with promise last time Norwigi gets the vote. A 2m maiden hurdle winner at this track last February, she has yet to reach those heights over fences but she has run several encouraging races and the most recent of these came at Navan last month when she was beaten just over 6l into fifth by Alohamora.

On that occasion, she was in front coming to the last only to fade on the run in. She now has to contend with a slightly longer trip but she might just be worth taking a chance on.

A good run from Echoes Of Family would not surprise. Her second to Super Citizen in a 2m 5f handicap chase at Leopardstown last month represents a very solid run and a repeat performance should put her into contention.

SELECTION: NORWIGI

Next Best: Echoes Of Family

3.40 Fred Kenny Lifetime Services To Racing Ladies National Handicap Chase 3m 1f 88yds

Fox Watch could be worth taking a chance on. He could only manage seventh behind Super Citizen at Leopardstown last month but shaped far better than his finishing position and he went on to strike at Wexford just over two weeks ago.

That success came at a more modest level of competition but he could have more to offer and he has the notable assistance of Jody Townend.

Rightplacerightime must have every chance and he will find this much easier than the Kim Muir at Cheltenham where he finished a respectable seventh to Chambard.

He won over fences at this track earlier in the season and should have no trouble adding to his tally in this sphere.

Where’s Frankie’s winning streak came to an end last time but it would be most unwise to start writing off his chances.

SELECTION: FOX WATCH

Next Best: Rightplacerightime

4.15 I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Novice Handicap Hurdle Series Final (Grade B) 3m 110yds

He has yet to win over hurdles but Ernie McCracken could be the answer here. He was unable to justify favouritism in a Thurles handicap last month but still ran a respectable second to Ballyadam Destiny.

Prior to that he posted a very nice effort on his handicap debut to chase home the progressive Macs Charm over an extended 2m 4f at Gowran in February. If he translates that Gowran form to this trip he could win. He could have most to fear from Nell’s Well.

The latter has won twice over 3m at Cork this season, a Grade 3 event in December and a reasonable handicap back there last month and she might be able to progress a little further.

Tempo Chapter Two is a fascinating runner as he wasn’t beaten all that far in the County Hurdle last time and he is taking a huge step up in trip.

Hemlock faced an impossible task at Cheltenham last time but wasn’t disgraced as a 200/1 chance and a decent showing from him wouldn’t shock.

SELECTION: ERNIE MCCRACKEN

Next Best: Nell’s Well

4.50 RYBO Handicap Hurdle (Grade A) 2m

Glan could be the answer. She won her maiden at this track and she showed up well in another quality handicap hurdle over this course and distance when beaten just a neck by Gua Du Large here in late November.

Possibly she found the ground a little slower than ideal behind Party Central last time but in any case she is probably better judged on her previous efforts and she comes here fresh.

Farout is a useful novice hurdler whose third to Mighty Potter and Three Stripe Life at Leopardstown over Christmas is a very good run.

He ran quite well in the County Hurdle last time without quite being able to get into a challenging position and he could have more to offer over hurdles.

Iberique Du Seuil ran quite well in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham and, while he does have to tackle his elders here, he is not without a chance.

SELECTION: GLAN

Next Best: Farout

5.25 Jetaway.ie Irish EBF Mares INH Flat Race 2m 4f

Willie Mullins fields two mares who filled the runner-up spot on their initial outings and preference is for Cnoc Na Si who is the mount of Patrick Mullins.

She was beaten just over four lengths by Monteip at Limerick over Christmas but can do better as a result of that initial experience and she shouldn’t have any trouble with the better ground either.

Saratoga Lass has run some nice races in defeat this term and a repeat of her second to Liberty Dance at Naas last month would also put her into the reckoning.

Jetara is an intriguing newcomer as she is out of an own-sister to the Champion Hurdle winner Jezki and she comes from a family that have enjoyed plenty of success in bumpers.

Also worth a mention is another Walk In The Park filly, Watermark, who is an unraced half-sister to the very useful British-based jumper Glory And Fortune.

SELECTION: CNOC NA SI

Next Best: Saratoga Lass
