THE present Covid-19 restrictions have resulted in owners here not being present to see their horses win races, unless they double up as grooms, and it’s the same situation in other equestrian sports.

Fernhill Sport Horses’ proprietor Carol Gee was more than happy that her horses competed in her absence when the Eventing Ireland season commenced last weekend as she had left for Portugal where she is jumping on the Summer Tour in Vilamoura.
