BETWEEN show jumping and eventing, it’s been a very busy year for Jennifer Kuehnle whose main ride in the latter code has been Polly Blue Eyes, on whom she finished 15th of 77, on her dressage score, at the European Junior eventing championships in The Netherlands in July.

Her back-up mount has been another mare also owned by her father Hans, Nekita, and it was on this 10-year-old Holstein bay that the Co Laois rider led (30.3) last weekend’s Bit Media EI110 (J) National Championship at Kilguilkey House following the dressage phase which was judged by Britain’s Les Smith (C) and Ireland’s Bernie Foley (E).
