WENDY Seymour and Ian McCluggage, who won EI90 championships at Tattersalls last weekend, both appreciated the effort made by Eugene O’Neill and his team to provide a good cross-country course for their level.

“They did a super job,” said Co Wicklow-based Seymour who landed the Top-Spec EI90 amateur championship on her own mare Carrick Diamond Lilly. “The fences were really well dressed and a big effort had been made to build fences that were similar to those at a higher level. It was like a mini one-star track,” commented McCluggage who claimed the EI90 national championship with Gayle Connery’s Craigvara Cavalier. “It was a fair track but asked plenty of questions. We had a fantastic time and it’s great to be able to compete at a venue like this.”
