TWENTY-three classes run over two days in glorious sunshine, last weekend’s popular event fixture at Hillcrest was a busy affair. Hosts Rodney and Beth O’Donnell were staging their third fixture of the current campaign, so it was much appreciated that efforts had been made to change the tracks and have the ground in great condition.

The courses themselves ran in the opposite direction to those of last month, and were positively described as educational, fluent and imaginative. It was the going that was the subject of the main plaudits however, and indeed O’Donnell had worked hard to achieve his objective.
