WATERFORD’s Lee Maher won Section A of the EI100class at Kilguilkey House on Saturday with the former show horse Garveys Joy, who completed on his dressage score, as did the next three in the placings.

The 13-year-old, who finished fifth at EI90 level on his Eventing Ireland debut at Rosanna (2), was bred in Co Down by Kieran King. The skewbald gelding by Cavalier Two For Joy had a very successful career in the show ring, not only as a coloured but also as a small hunter (he was reserve champion at the RDS in 2010), working hunter horse, show hunter pony and working hunter pony. He has also done some show jumping!
