THE second half of the evening consisted of two masterclass jumping sessions from Ian Fearon. Fearon has been involved in Irish High Performance eventing for a number of years and is to thank for much of Ireland’s success in the final phase.

The highest ranked Irish rider, Sam Watson, pointed out that Ireland has the highest clear showjumping round rates of all nations at three-star level.
