NICOLA Ennis had just one ride at Clyda last Sunday but the trip south proved well worthwhile as, on her first intermediate start, Dee Mac landed the 24-runner CNC2* on her winning dressage score (29.1).

“The cross-country track was a lot beefier than I thought it would be but it rode really well and my mare just pinged around it,” said Co Meath-based Ennis who was having her first outing at this level since June last year.
