ON a night of big prices at the Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham sales when 13 Irish point-to-point horses were sold for six-figure prices, the standout story certainly came courtesy of Batt O’Connell and his Ballindenisk runner-up Truckers Pass.

A value buy at the 2017 Goffs Land Rover Sale, the Kalanisi gelding was in big demand when he entered the Cheltenham sales ring, with a final bid of £175,000 from leading Bloodstock Agent Tom Malone on behalf of trainer Paul Nicholls, securing the four-year-old.
