The former struck in the Botanica International four-year-old class with the Indoctro stallion Indoctaire who, on a score of 58, was just one point off the lead following dressage but comfortably dominated the jumping phase where he received 166 points, 14 more than his nearest rivals. Duggan had timed her arrival in the Derby Arena well, entering at a very quiet period, and the bay stallion, who had been on his toes earlier, behaved impeccably throughout his jumping round.

“I bought this fellow from his breeder Seamus Casey last year at Dublin on the day my father [Peter Duggan] died,” revealed the owner/rider. “He was in the potential event horse class and I had seen him the day before and really liked him. His stable name is Pee Wee as that was what Dad was called at home.
