The soaking left the free-draining riverside track in good order, and although the final downpours on Saturday night and during Sunday proved less welcome in the show jumping and lorry areas, riders appreciated the chance to run.

The Mallow venue gains popularity at every fixture, and last weekend the event attracted its best ever entry of 220 runners. As evidence of the ongoing improvements, Clyda now sports a new sand arena and warm up, which catered well for the show jumping in the pre-novice and intro classes.
