ADMITEDLY, she does a lot of smiling anyway but Rosemarie Ahern O’Gorman was possibly the happiest-looking person, never mind competitor, at last week’s Stena Line Dublin Horse Show following her success in the Crescent Electrical Services riding horse championship.

The Bandon-based producer has been enjoying an exceptional season on Totally Dun, an eight-year-old gelding by the Connemara stallion Moonlight Silver Shadow who was bred in Co Longford by Damien Hetherton. The dun, who is owned by Riverstick’s Fiona Leahy, has only been beaten once in eight outings this year and was the immediate choice of judges Hayden Hankey (ride) and Ann Hooley (conformation) as the showing section commenced in Ring One on Wednesday morning with the small riding horse class.
