SUNDAY’s fourth leg of the Horse Sport Ireland/Dressage Ireland Autumn Development Series at the National Horse Sport Arena attracted entries from all areas of the country and Lorraine Balaine’s journey over from the west was rewarded when she won the Novice qualifier for five-year-olds on Avalon In Paris.

The chesnut Numero Cruise gelding topped Pat Creighton’s scores on 72.42%, being followed by the Gavin Smiddy-ridden OBOS Quality 004 gelding DSH Showtime (71.45) while Sonya McCormack finished third with the previous week’s winner, the ex-racehorse Misneach (70.81).
