TWO women, Judy Reynolds and Heike Holstein, dominated Irish dressage this year with the former having a mixed trip to the World Equestrian Games in Tryon while the latter set a national record in Cavan.

An injury resulted in Reynolds’s top horse Vancouver K missing the European championships and the World Cup campaign last year and the 2002 Jazz gelding performed at just two international shows – Aachen (CDI5*) in July and Cappeln (CDI4*) the following month – before heading to Tryon which marked the combination’s second appearance at a WEG and the rider’s fourth.
