WHILE the Eastern Region of Dressage Ireland was holding a show at Marlton on Saturday, co-proprietor Barbara Delahoyde was competing in Wales having travelled over to the Little Mill Equestrian Centre outside Carmarthen in the company of Lorna Keogh.
The pair had qualified for the Petplan British Dressage Area Festival earlier in the year at Chard Equestrian and their results at the weekend have now qualified them for the Petplan Summer Area Festival championships at Arena UK in early October. On her 17-year-old chesnut gelding DBS Second Chance, Keogh finished fourth (63.62%) in the medium bronze class won by Charlotte Jenkins on the Irish Sport Horse gelding Cuffesgrange Ars Royale (66.44), a 17-year-old Ars Vivendi gelding, before she comfortably won the Medium Freestyle on a score of 66.67.
