FIERY Character will forever have a special place in the story of the Irish National Stud sire Dragon Pulse. Her maiden victory at Newmarket was the first win for a son or daughter of the sire and Tom Dascombe seems to be sweet on her prospects.

Bred by the brothers Dwan – Dermot and John – Fiery Character was sold at the Goffs Sportsman Sale last year to SackvilleDonald for just €18,000 and she is the fifth progeny and third winner for her dam Intricate Dance. The mare’s two previous winners did so in Poland and Sweden. Fiery Character’s year older half-sister Daydream, by Dream Ahead, is knocking on the door of success and has been placed this year for Jamie Osborne.
