JEREON Dubbeldam once again proved he is the world’s leading championship rider, when he was crowned European champion in Aachen last Sunday, adding to the world title he won at Normandy in 2014.

Bertram Allen finished as best of the Irish in 16th place overall with Molly Malone V, one place ahead of Denis Lynch and All Star 5. Cian O’Connor had qualified for the final round but decided not to jump with Good Luck in the knowledge that the infamous four faults picked up in controversial circumstances at the DHL fence last Friday, still stood on the Irishman’s scorecard.
