Kevin Croke, secretary of the society, urged stallion owners to be aware of the potential implications of signing over DNA rights to Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) on the stallion inspection application form.

A clause, which was included on the application form for the 2014 inspections, authorises HSI’s use of DNA to establish parentage, which Croke described as a serious matter for stallion owners.
