THE Northern-bred winner at Dromahane last Saturday was the Sam Curling-trained Longhouse Sale who, on his debut, landed division one of the Goffs UK four-year-old maiden under Derek O’Connor.

The gelding was bred by John Kidd, who used to stand his German-bred sire September Storm at Ballyash Stud, and is out of the unraced Dushyantor mare Sweetbriar Rose who had previously bred the dual hurdle winner Long House Island (by Turtle Island) and the winning pointer Tick Tock Ten (by Tikkanen). The dam is a half-sister to Line Ball and comes from the family of Mighty Mogul, Court Leader and Ballynagour.
