GEOLOGICAL has done far more than pay off his cheap purchase price already and made it his fourth success this year with an emphatic front-running display in the Patrickswell Handicap at Limerick.

The 14/1 chance cost just 800 guineas at the sales two years ago, but has made giant strides ever since and was smartly away under Donagh O'Connor. Damian English's charge had plenty of company on the turn for home, but quickened clear nicely and kept on to beat Try Again by four lengths and scoop over €12,000 in prize money.
