EASTERN European accents are evident on campus these days with eight students from the Czech racing school in Prague with us for a three-week training and educational programme and they have adjusted well to their new environment.

The six girls and two boys, accompanied by one of their teachers, are participating in an EU-funded Leonardo Da Vinci programme which promotes cooperation and mobility between member countries and they are the latest in a series of groups hosted by RACE in recent years from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. As part of their programme, they receive riding instruction and some work experience while improving their English language skills and learning more about Ireland and the Irish racing industry.
