RONNIE O’Neill’s Whytemount Stud has soared to prominence in recent seasons with the rise of Stowaway (by Slip Anchor) as an important National Hunt sire, and with the success of his offspring on the track, many of whom were bred by O’Neill. They were unfortunate to lose the stallion this week as the breeding season gets under way.

Hidden Cyclone is one of the stars among his sire’s early roll of honour and the Shark Hanlon-trained 10-year-old won the Grade 2 BoyleSports Tied Cottage Chase over two miles at Punchestown last Sunday.
